Forged where the depths of the earth meets the shifting tides of the night sky, the Cosmic Horizon Talisman is a masterwork of natural geometry. At its base is a sharp, grounding smoky quartz point – a crystalline anchor for deep protection. Rising above it is a genuine sundial shell, prized for its immaculate mathematical spiral that channels the expansive energy of the cosmos and the divine feminine.

Unified permanently through days of slow, intentional growth in our studio electrocauldron, the copper setting has been detailed with an antiqued, hand-twisted rope border that frames the shell like an artifact salvaged from a lost civilization.

• Milky Opal Centerpiece: Nestled at the heart of the copper growth, this smooth, pale-yellow opal brings a soft, luminescent warmth that beautifully bridges the dark quartz and the oceanic shell. Transformed by the heat and chemistry of the studio cauldron, it now features a moody, milky tone with a tiny, secret surprise flash of hidden color waiting to be discovered at the very base of the stone.

• The Asymmetrical Strand: The 17-inch neckline features an intricate arrangement of earth-toned mineral rounds, metallic spacers, and a sleek copper link chain fastened with a heavy toggle clasp. Positioned with intentional asymmetry on the left side is a glowing, hand-carved Mother-of-Pearl Crescent Moon—a final nod to the lunar tides.

Collector’s Notes & Care

An Authentic Studio Heirloom: This piece grew atom-by-atom over a 30-hour period. Because it features natural stones, an authentic sea shell, and organic copper formations, it is completely unique and cannot be duplicated. You will receive the exact necklace pictured.

• Living Patina: The copper has been treated with a deep, dark antiqued patina to highlight its ancient texture. Over time, friction against skin and fabrics will naturally polish the high points to a warm rose-gold gleam while keeping the valleys dark.

Elemental Copper: Renowned as an ancient conductor of elemental energy, copper has long been associated with Hermes, the mythical messenger of mental agility and focus. In studio tradition and metal lore, copper is prized for its ability to amplify intention, harmonize materials, and reflect a warm, timeless antique patina.

Artisan Care: Natural crystals and organic elements (such as real acorns, boxwood twigs, and sea shells) are delicate treasures of the earth and should be worn with gentle care.

The Electroforming Process: Each piece is created using electroforming – an intricate process of controlling an electrically charged bath to slowly deposit thin layers of pure copper onto a conductive surface. Deposited layer upon layer over 12 to 24 hours (with the total artisan process spanning several days!), this technique creates a durable, uniquely textured metal sculpture around each stone.

Copper Characteristics:
Copper is a pure elemental metal, CU on the periodic table. Like sterling silver, copper naturally oxidizes and darkens when exposed to air, sunlight, humidity, cosmetics, or lotions.Oxidation happens even more quickly in the presence of sunlight, sweat, chlorine (swimming pools), chemicals and cosmetics.

Daily Wear Tip: To preserve your piece’s finish, remove jewelry before bathing, swimming, exercising, or applying lotions and perfumes. Keep your jewelry clean and dry.
If you prefer the “aged” look that oxidation naturally gives copper, we recommend cleaning your jewelry with a bit of mild dish soap in warm water. You can use a soft bristle brush when necessary.

Cleaning & Maintenance:

For an Aged/Vintage Patina: Clean gently with mild dish soap, warm water, and a soft bristle brush when needed.

For a Bright/Polished Look: Polish gently with a soft jewelry polishing cloth. *(Note: Avoid harsh chemical dips or vinegar solutions on pieces with delicate gemstones or hand-applied patinas).

Natural Skin Patina & Reaction: Much like copper roofs developing a green patina when exposed to environmental elements, pure copper can occasionally leave a harmless green mark on the skin when reacting with natural skin moisture, oils, or humidity. This surface mark is completely safe, natural, and easily washes off with soap and water.
