Description
The base color of labradorite is dark stormy gray, but when it catches the light, flashes of iridescent color appear. The colorful flash is known as labradorescence and inspired the author Ralph Waldo Emerson to write, “A man is like a bit of labrador spar, which has no luster as you turn it in your hand until you come to a particular angle; then it shows deep and beautiful colors.” Pure Magic
It’s a symbolic reminder to look deeper and from many angles, instead of taking things at face value.
Labradorite is a stone of magic, curiosity, and, creativity. It’s a tantalizing stone that takes you on a journey of color, bringing to light the unknown of a situation.
Please NOTE :
** This is a natural stone and as such there may be slight surface cracks or imperfections on the stone.
These are to be expected and add to the natural beauty of the stone.
**Any stone with adularescence, labradorescence or chatoyancy (the illusion of color change or movement) will flash at a certain angle. It may not look exactly as photographed, but if you move the stone at different angles you will see the color flash. Try and display the piece at the most pleasing angle.
