The Sentinel Ring is designed for the wearer who appreciates the beauty of “perfect imperfection.” This massive 25mm square cabochon features a high-contrast landscape where jagged needles of Black Tourmaline pierce through a crystalline sea of Clear Quartz.
The Alchemical Marriage
This stone is a natural masterpiece of dualities. While the Clear Quartz acts as a high-frequency amplifier of consciousness, the Black Tourmaline inclusions act as “grounding rods,” pulling chaotic energy down into the earth to be neutralized. A unique dusting of Red Iron Oxide trapped within the quartz adds a subtle, warm “ember” glow, bridging the gap between the frozen quartz and the fiery earth.
Design & Geometry
By setting this square cabochon on point (diamond orientation), the ring creates a striking, elongated silhouette on the hand. This intentional design choice draws the eye along the natural lines of the finger, balancing the substantial 25mm scale of the stone with a bold, modern edge.
Traditional Craftsmanship
Unlike my electroformed pieces, this ring was created using traditional silversmithing techniques. The stone is secured in a custom-fit sterling silver setting, designed to let the light pass through the quartz and illuminate the internal tourmaline “forest.”
